District One - November 2004

It is with great sadness that I report of a District One Member belonging to Cedar Hill Saddle Club passing away.  Cyndi Lewis, mother of Danielle, Jessie and Jeffrey, went to be with the lord.  Cyndi was very courageous in her fight with cancer.  She will be greatly missed. Our prayers go to the Lewis family.

On a much happier note-----Congratulations to Dee Dee Hill on being crowned Miss NARC&SP 2005.  I am sure you will do a wonderful job.  To the other girls-----something worth being had is not always easily obtained---keep trying.

At the convention District One was well represented by Sarah Manning.  When Sarah’s year as Princess first started she was unsure of her duties.  As the year has progressed she has developed a “can do” spirit.  She can still be seen at times playing in the arena with bare feet but on the Convention day she was all business.  Sarah sat in during the delegates meeting and was on the Royal Court during the evening.  If you saw her at the Convention you know that she is fully aware and capable of representing us in style.  Sarah you looked beautiful and presented yourself with dignity and grace.  Keep up the good work.

The District Banquet is scheduled for Sunday, October 31, 2004.  This is Halloween day so make plans to attend the banquet in costume.  I will report more on this subject next month.

Kudo’s to Natalie Dennis on winning the Queen’s Extravaganza trailer.  I don’t think I have ever seen someone so happy.

On a personal note----Pepper your leadership within the NARC&SP will be greatly missed.  You led us with determination while blessing us with humor…..Excellent Job…..Thank you!

Until Next Month,
